Given all of the new distancing requirements, we will NOT be able to continue our former schedule. Our new schedule allows for more time between classes, smaller class sizes and staggered entry and exit times. The new classes are now active on our website. We will be combining some of our classes. If your child is a girls level 1/2, please register for girls level 2. If your child is a girls level 2/3, please register for girls level 3. All boys 6+ years will be combined in one boys class. If you have any questions, please email or call our office. Please understand that we are not able to offer a full schedule at this time. We are reopening in a very limited capacity. We will continue to open classes as restrictions are lifted. In addition to the above modifications, we will be making many other adjustments to ensure that we have the safest environment for our students.
*Staff will sanitize and have temperature taken before coaching.
*Staff will be observing students throughout class. Should a child exhibit any signs of illness (coughing, shortness of breath, chills, etc.), he/she will be isolated, and a parent will be contacted.
*If your child is sick or potentially exposed to Covid-19, please do not come to class. We will offer unlimited make up classes.
*Students will sanitize prior to class and between events.
*Water fountains will only be used to refill water bottles. There will be no direct drinking from the fountain. Preschool students will not be getting a drink during class.
*Visual aids such as dots, stars and bright velcro lines will be used to keep children separated. Bars and beams are already separated, and there will be no partners on stations.
*Coaches will be spotting children. Safety is our main concern. We do not feel that we can safely teach gymnastics skills without spotting the children.
*We will not be using the pits at this time.
*Mats and common surfaces will be cleaned frequently.
*There will be no high fives, hugs, stamps or stickers at this time in order to minimize contact.
*There will be new entrance and exit strategies. Preschool students/parents will enter through the main door and exit through the emergency exit door by the preschool room. Students in the big gym will enter through the main entrance and exit through the emergency exit door in the main observation area. A parent must be in the observation area to escort his/her child to the car.
*Observation will be limited to one parent per gymnast. We cannot allow siblings or extra people in the observation areas at this time. Seating will be limited. We encourage dropping off and picking up at this time in order to help us keep our distance.
*An additional waiver will need to be signed in order to participate.
*We know we cannot fully eliminate the spread of any virus, but we feel that we can create a safe environment for our students using our newly established guidelines. (The CDC has revised their information and posted that the Covid-19 virus does not easily spread from contacting surfaces. The main form of spreading is person to person contact.)
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
